I graduated college with a Business degree from the University of the Pacific, Conservatory of Music in California. My wife and I were married during my freshman year, we had a baby girl during my junior year, and I held down a full-time job as a Sous Chef until I graduated. Upon graduation, we already had two kids and I was the Executive Chef of a well-reviewed boutique restaurant. I burned out after working 80 hour weeks, left the food industry and started working for Enterprise Rent a Car where I remained for 7 years, ending as a Branch Manager. During this time, we had our third and final child. I then turned to pharmaceutical sales, where I thrived for several years as a District Trainer for a large pharma company until it was bought out and I was part of a nationwide layoff. During this period of unemployment, a close friend of mine invited me to help him with his construction business. Starting out as a rookie I wore a toolbelt and learned everything I could about residential construction for 5+ years, where I eventually became responsible for the roofing-side of his business while continuing to work as part of his core crew. I often attended meetings with our clients to help take notes and I found one of the biggest challenges homeowners faced was visualizing their project. I was later offered a position as a Project Estimator with a different company and continued to see clients struggle to visualize the details of their projects. I decided to invest in and learn to use architectural software so I could help my clients envision their projects before construction began. When the Covid-19 outbreak occurred, our remodel business dropped off drastically and the owner chose to shutter the remodel business. So, I decided to go into business for myself and make use of my unique skill set.
My path into residential design wasn’t a straight line, but every step prepared me for the work I do today. During my military service I also worked for Walmart as an IT networking professional. I then transitioned to project management after wanting a change of pace. Those roles sharpened my communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills, all of which now play a major part in how I approach drafting and design.
In 2022, I made the career change I had always wanted and began working as a draftsman. Since then, I’ve spent the past four years creating detailed, buildable plans for homeowners, contractors, and remodel clients. I also bring hands‑on construction experience from time spent working on a construction crew, giving me a practical understanding of how designs translate into real‑world building conditions.
I value clear communication, accuracy, and designs that genuinely reflect each client’s needs. Whether it’s a new home, a remodel, or an addition, my goal is to create plans that are both visually compelling and technically sound. Clients often tell me they appreciate my attention to detail, my responsiveness, and the care I put into bringing their ideas to life.
Every project is an opportunity to combine creativity, precision, and collaboration—and I take pride in delivering plans that help homeowners feel confident and excited about their build.
